Pigeon Coop Permits 

DC Code § 903.1 states:  “No person or persons shall keep or cause to be kept any pigeons within the District, without a permit form the Mayor.”

To apply for a permit, residents must:

  • Fill out an application
  • Obtain a petition signed by fifty-one percent (51%) of households within the radius of one hundred feet (100 ft.) from the loft.
  • Allow Animal Disease Prevention staff to conduct an inspection.
