Program Description
The Intermediate Care Facilities Division (ICFD) licenses group homes for persons with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities residing in the District of Columbia. The ICFD conducts annual on-site and monitoring surveys to ensure the facilities and agencies maintain compliance with local and federal requirements. The ICFD also conducts investigations of unusual incidents and complaints, and identifies deficiencies that may affect state licensure or eligibility for federal reimbursements under the Medicaid program.
